It's a standard treatment of extreme cold (liquid nitrogen) for small lesions, because it a lows for removal without the need for anesthesia, with no broken skin or bleeding, and with a tolerable amount of pain. For this reason, no numbing is required. Cyrotherapy also aims to save the area around the lesions and to reduce the scarring as much as possible.
